IMC starts Narmada control points

INDORE: The five new control points set up by Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) to ensure equal distribution of Narmada water in city have started functioning.These control points have been set up at sump-wells and supply points at Scheme-54, BP Tank near Mhow , Bada Ganpati, Vijay Nagar and Radio Colony. Narmada project officials said that the teams in future will also be provided with vehicles for proper monitoring and supervision of valve operations. “With this new system, wastage of water especially during leakage would also be prevented,” they added. This system has been implemented after residents complained of getting inadequate supply. Narmada project officials said that these new control points have been set up to monitor and ensure equal distribution of water in localities.“We have divided the city in five divisions including east, west, north, south and central, and supply in localities falling in these divisions would be managed separately with these new control points,” said SK Junare, an assistant engineer with Narmada Project.He said that they have formed teams which will be headed by a sub engineers..
