MCI team inspects MGM college

INDORE: A team of medical council of India on Friday inspected MGM Medical College’s community medicine department for the demand of increasing PG seats .The team inspected department’s library and laboratory and checked papers of professors in the college. It is expected that team will approve the demand.As per department officials, the college has been demanding for increasing the PG seats by 8 for past two years. It was for the sixth time when MCI team conducted inspection in the college for PG seats as in last five times, the requirements were not found up to the mark for the seats.Head of community medicine department Dr Sanjay Dixit said, “Last year the team suggested us to update list of equipment in the department and get proper signatures ondocuments. An inspection was conducted in 2018, when the team rejected the plea suggesting them the improvement that college administration fulfilled.HoD Dr Dixit said, “Once the PG seats increase to 13, we will be able to provide more MD in community medicine and will be able to provide more professors for the medical education field.” This time all the suggestions have been applied..
