Indore: Around 10% kids in the state are born with cataract due to poor diet of the mother during pregnancy period. Padma Shri ophthalmologist Dr Tatyarao Pundlikrao Lahane said that usually cataract is diagnosed in old aged people, but from last few years, it is being diagnosed in youngsters as well.Dr Lahane said that in most of the cases of newborn, it has been found that it is due to poor diet of the mother during pregnancy..
