Mhow gets a fully mechanized abattoir

Mhow: A fully mechanized abattoir was inaugurated in Mhow on Sunday morning.The abattoir has been developed at the same place, where the old conventional slaughter house was located.Mhow Cantonment Board engineer Amit Vyas said, the total cost of this project is Rs 2.37 crore. In one compartment of the abattoir 200 goats or sheep can be accumulated.He said that presently, the facility is only for meat traders of Mhow Cantonment area. It will be used in making some medicines.Also, a solar plant has been set up at the abattoir. The blood collected in the abattoir will be supplied to a company in Pithampur. Of the total amount, Rs1.25 crore was spent on procurement of machines and rest was expended on civil work..
