Summary:

Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is planning to dispatch scanned answer sheets to evaluators.Students, who apply for revaluation of answer sheet, will also get it via email. As varsity is trying to get completely automated, sending scanned answer copies to evaluators is one such step to achieve it.The computer centre of DAVV has also designed software with several features related to evaluation of answer sheets. This will be save a lot of time as it will reduce manual work of updating lists separately,” he added.Currently, getting copies revaluated becomes time consuming as the copy only after it has been revaluated by one external examiner, the copy is sent to another. However, soon varsity will send digital copies even to externals for revaluation so that it is sent to both evaluators at the same time and thereafter, it will be mailed to students.“The students will not have to stand outside exam center waiting for their chance to see their copies, they will be able to download it and check it time and again,” said Shrivastava. “We have designed software, which is extremely user-friendly and we are also making a booklet with it,” head of computer centre of DAVV Niranjan Shrivastava told TOI.The software will calculate everything including time taken by evaluator to check a set of questions, marks given by evaluator on each page and total marks allotted to student.Software will not let evaluator turn page to move on to next segment of questions until page is scrolled till the bottom and all the answers are read.“Every single bit of information will be updated on system at real time with help of this software..
