Man pleads to pay maintenance after minimum income is implemented

In a strange move, an Indore resident moved an application before the local family court seeking stay on a previous order directing him to pay maintenance to his estranged wife till the general elections to Lok Sabha are over. In 2018 she moved the application for seeking maintenance from her husband and on March 12, 2019, the court passed an interim order directing Anand Sharma to make payment of Rs 4500 per month to her. He also claimed to have no political affilations with either parties.Sharma got married in 2006, and his wife separated from him in 2014 taking along their daughter. Rs 3000 per month was to be given to the wife and Rs 1500 to his daughter.The court has fixed the next date of hearing on April 29, when arguments will be made over Sharma's application. In his plea , he said he hoped Congress would come to power and implement the minimum income scheme, of which he would avail benefits and pay his wife.39-year-old Anand Sharma , a resident of Sukhliya , had moved the plea on Friday before principal judge Subodh Jain seeking stay on the order directing him to pay Rs 4,500 per month to his wife and 12-year-old daughter as maintenance.Living with his parents, Sharma claims to be a struggling TV actor..
