Lip-smacking food, spl prayers bring Bohras together on Eid

Major markets in the city remained open on Sunday despite the usual schedule to entertain the rush of last minute shoppers ahead of Eid. Not only was the festival celebrated by Bohra community members but several non-Bohra people also enjoyed the festival and enjoyed the sweet feasts. Among them were the hand-made Sivaiya, machine-made Sivaiya imported from Ahmedabad and Duh Feni Sivaiya. The powders and mixtures used to make the sweet were also sold everywhere in the market for Eid.
