MGM Medical College forms anti-ragging squad at the hostel level

INDORE: Bogged down by the ragging controversy, MGM Medical College on Tuesday decided to form anti-ragging squads at the hostel level to curb excesses allegedly perpetrated by senior students on juniors.The decision came after suspension of 29 students of 2015 batch for ragging junior students in the hostels. Subsequently, 29 students were suspended from the college for 30 days and asked to leave the hostels.The police is yet to act on the complaint of the students. We can't initiate action against the students till we get a response from the committee." They later approached Sanyigotaganj police station, who sought a reply from college dean Dr Sharad Thora As the matter escalated, a meeting of the nine-member anti-ragging committee of the college was summoned and victims were asked to give details of their complaint..
