ACB conducts search at cop’s residence in Ajmer

Ajmer: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted a search at the residence of police inspector Arpan Choudhary in connection with a case registered in Kota.Currently, he is posted as SHO in Karauli. However, the team declined to divulge anything about the operation.Sharma said, the search is going on and he can’t conclude anything at this time. Kishanlal Kumawat, posted at Nagar Palika in Kuchaman, had demanded bribe from complainant Chhote Ram for presenting a favourable report in the court in a case, SP (Anti-Corruption Bureau) Kailash Bishnoi said. "The accused was arrested from his office while accepting Rs 2 lakh bribe, the SP said, adding a case was registered against him and further investigation is on. The ACB is making search in a matter of involvement of officials in illegal mining racket in the region of Dholpur, Bharatpur and Kota.A team of ACB led by additional SP C P Sharma reached early morning at the resident of Choudhary at Logagal Road and started search operation..
