Rs 8L looted from bank staff in Kota

Kota: Two unidentified scoter-borne youths on Tuesday noon looted a bag containing Rs 8 lakh from a bank cashier and his aide in Kota.A case has been filed in this regard and police have begun investigation into it.According to Anantpura station police, cashier of Baroda Rajasthan Regional Rural Bank branch in Kansuwa area Giyarsiram along with a contractual employee of the branch Devprakash was yesterday noon riding on motorbike to deposit a cash of Rs 8 lakh in another bank branch in Bhamasha Mandi. The cashier and the contractual employee attempted to chase them, but the two miscreants succeeded to flee, the police said.“The accused in the matter have not been arrested so far and no clue of them has been surfaced,” SI at Anantpura police station and the investigating officer in the case Ramswroop said.The CCTV footages are being investigated to ascertain the identity of the two miscreants.According to the bank cashier, whenever the cash collection in the branch goes up to Rs 5 lakh, the amount is sent to another branch of the bank in Bhamasha Mandi..
