Dust storm again hits many areas; monsoon to enter in the state by July, 1

Alwar/Jaipur: Heavy dust storm lashed many parts in the state including Alwar, Sawai Madhopur and Karauli district of the state on Thursday which affected normal life and vehicular traffic. In Jaipur a maximum temperature of 42.5 degree Celsius was recorded in the afternoon.A few places in the state including in Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar districts of the state also witnessed scattered rainfall. However, the Jaipur met office said that the monsoon has already delayed and is expected to enter in the state by July, 1.Many places including Sariska, Malakhera, Natani Ka Bara and Umrain witnessed heavy storm which led to the uprooting of trees. “Everything would be dependent on how Monsoon progresses after June, 24 onwards,” said an officer.Meanwhile mercury continued to take an upward swing across the state as Churu remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 44.6 degree Celsius was recorded. The Alwar-Thanagazi route remained disrupted for 2 hours due to the uprooting of trees which also fallen on the road.The IMD Delhi has said that the monsoon could not progress further for the past one week and there is a possibility that it may progress further after June, 24 onwards..
