JAIPUR: Adequate security and parking arrangements have been made in and around Amroodon Ka Bagh here where Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is expected to address the public on July 7. “Till Monday as per his programme he is expected to arrive at 12.00 pm and leave by 2.30 pm. Senior police officers on Monday again visited the spot and directed their subordinates to scan an area of 5 km in the periphery of the venue. Police stated that they are preparing for an expected footfall of nearly 2.5 lakh when people from almost every district are expected to come.Senior officers of the police and intelligence said that as per the tentative itinerary Modi is expected to stay for almost two hours and 30 minutes in Jaipur. Any additions or change in his programme would be clear only two days prior to July 7,” said a senior officer of the intelligence wing of the Rajasthan police.NRK Reddy, additional director general police along with officers including Vikas Pathak, deputy commissioner of police (South) visited the spot.“It was also decided that police will allow parking of vehicles within 2 km area from the venue for the vehicles coming from districts including Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Tonk via Tonk road, Sikar, Jhunjhunu Bikaner via Sikar road, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli and Bharatpur via Agra road and Ajmer, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Jalore, Sirohi via Ajmer road,” said a senior police officer on Monday.Senior police officers were also chalking out their plans for traffic diversions during the prime minister’s stay in the pink city.“We have identified private and public parking lots where the vehicles would be allowed to park so that it may not create traffic chaos in the city,” an officer added..
