Masala Chowk to come up in six cities of state

Jaipur: As the concept of Masala Chowk has become successful in Jaipur, the state government has decided to open similar ventures in six cities of Rajasthan. “We will brief the officers about ‘Masala Chowk’ project in totality and answer their queries if they have any and will take them to visit the place. Entire project costs around Rs 700 crores includes many eateries serving Rajasthani cuisines and an open air theatre with artists performing live.If the project is successful in other cities as well, then it will again be extended to 12 more cities of the state. JDA is maintaining the place very effectively and every day around 2000 people visit on weekdays and on weekend the numbers go up to 4000. The concept has become very famous which is visited by thousands of people every day after paying an entry fee of Rs 10..
