Petition on CM Rajersquos yatra politically motivated Govt

Jaipur: The state government in its reply to the PIL challenging state sponsored ‘Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra’ by chief minister Vasundhara Raje said that the petition is “politically motivated and a publicity stunt.”PIL by lawyer Vibhuti Bhushan Sharma alleged that the BJP government has been misusing public money and position for a party programme by directing the PWD and state department of information and public relations (DIPR) to arrange the stage, tent and light and sound and the publicity of the programme.The division bench comprising chief justice Pradeep Nandrajog has posted the matter for further hearing on Friday.Following the PIL the government had withdrawn the controversial order of the PWD but the order relating to DIPR is still standing.The government in its reply denied of “any expenditure is being incurred by the government about the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra being under taken by the Bhartiya Janata Party nor the department of DIPR publishing any material or reports on the yatra.”The government also alleged that the PIL is politically motivated and publicity stunt..
