Undertrial dies during treatment

Kota: A 35-year-old undertrial lodged in Kota central jail died on Wednesday under suspicious circumstances during treatment at Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) hospital of the city after he was rushed in the morning following the sudden worsening of his health condition. The body was handed over to the family members on Thursday noon after post-mortem by medical board.“A 35-year-old undertrial jail inmate identified as Satyanarayan Koli, a resident of Kunhari area of Kota city died on Wednesday in the hospital during treatment after he was rushed there following complaints of chest pain Wednesday morning,” said jailor of Kota central jail Yogesh Taiji. “The deceased jail inmate had been lodged in Kota central jail since February 4 this year for three separate cases under sections of Excise Act, NDPS Act and section 307 of IPC,” he said, adding the deceased inmate had been leading a healthy life but suddenly his condition worsened on Wednesday morning.The post-mortem could not be carried out on Wednesday as the medical board could not be formed because of it being a holiday, the jailor said..
