Resident docs go on strike in Udaipur

Udaipur: Medical and health services in hospitals under the RNT Medical College here were paralysed after some 350 resident doctors went on strike on Sunday. “We are trying to convince the resident doctors to refrain from strike for a week,” Dr DP Singh, principal of the medical college said.On a written complaint from ASI Mishrilal, an FIR was lodged against two resident doctors Deeparam (Sanchore) and Surendra Singh (Lakshmangarh). The resident doctors’ association is likely to approach their peers in other districts too, to join them in the strike.The strike affected medical services in the hospitals affiliated to the medical college and people had to move to private hospitals in emergency cases. If the other party has any complaint, they should properly register it with the authorities so that legal action can be taken,” Kunwar Rashtradeep, Udaipur SP said. “We have only received an FIR from the ASI, no written complaint has come from the doctor..
