BJP replaces two in list on last day of nomination

JAIPUR: BJP on Monday released its final list of eight candidates hours before the nominations filing was to begin on the final day.The list of eight names includes two names who would be replacing the candidates announced earlier. He had recently announced retirement from politics and was pushing hard for his son. Jaswant Singh had faced an embarrassing defeat in the Alwar Lok Sabha bypolls, in January 2018. Accepting his request, BJP fielded his son from Behror.Party's candidate from Karauli is former IAS OP Meena, who had recently opted for early retirement and was had joint the BJP on Sunday evening.The party which has announced the names of all 200 candidates has dropped about 60 sitting MLAs. Apart from Yoonus Khan who will be contesting instead of Ajit Singh Mehta at Tonk, BJP also replaced its candidate on Kherwada (Udaipur).Sitting MLA Nanalal Aahri who was dropped earlier, replaced Shankarlal Kharadi.The list includes the name of Mohit Yadav, who would be contesting instead of his father and cabinet minister Jaswant Singh on Behror seat in Alwar..
