ED attaches Gold Sukh Trades property worth Rs 35 crore

JAIPUR: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday attached movable and immovable property acquired by M/S Gold Sukh Trade India Ltd and its directors worth Rs 3.5 crore.Various FIRs were registered at Vidhayakpuri Police Station, Jaipur against M/S Gold Sukh Trade India Ltd and its directors for grabbing public deposit during three years - 2008-09 to 2010-11.After the investigation was completed a charge sheet was filed against the accused persons under Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978. In total they duped around 1,18,288 members and public depositing of around Rs 215 crore.The property was attached under Section 5 of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 and the directors involved are Narendra Singh, Mahendra Kumar Nirwan, Manvendra Pratap Singh, Pramod alias Bablu Sharma, their relative as also the shareholders and others.The investigation has revealed that the partners and share-holders had laundered the crime money so generated from the above offences, scheduled to PMLA and invested a part of them to various immovable and movable properties, so as to project them as untainted.The proceeds of crime of Rs 1 crore 33 lakh lying in 38 bank accounts with interest as on date, investment of Rs 1 crore in the acquisition of immovable properties, foreign currencies worth Rs 43 lakh and cash worth Rs 28 lakh was seized by Vidhayakpuri Police, Jaipur.Further investigation in the matter is in the process to identify more proceeds of crime in the case..
