Jaisalmer: The Jaisalmer district administration for last two months had been organising Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities to increase awareness among people to vote. The reason behind this is said to be SVEEP activities by the district administration.Collector Om Kasera said under SVEEP activities many innovative campaigns were launched including Rangoli, Rammat Natak, participation in many fairs, rallies etc. The results were very encouraging as maximum voting of 84.66% took place in Jaisalmer district in the state.Under the directions of Jaisalmer election officer, Om Kasera, continuous monitoring of SVEEP activities was being done and many unique initiatives were taken. and efforts were made to increase polling and it got results.He said Jaisalmer district with 84.66% voting has been at the top in the state with Jaisalmer assembly constituency registering 82.27% voting and 87.43% voting in Pokhran assembly constituency.Meanwhile such a huge voting has surprised political parties.
