Team from Centre takes stock of drought situation in two districts

Jaisalmer: An inter-ministerial Central study team on Tuesday visited various villages in Jaisalmer and Barmer districts to assess the drought situation. Villagers apprised the team about the problem of water, fodder and employment.The team, earlier on Monday, visited Barmer and few other parts of Jaisalmer districts. Nakate informed the team about the availability of fodder, water and crop damage and about the proposed plan. The team at Barmer district headquarters and at Goonga village took information about the situation of drought. He said that in Barmer district, there was only 131.32mm rain this time, aggravating the drought situation..
