Crossvoting BJP to act against four councillors

Jaipur: BJP is all set to take action against its four councillors who allegedly breached the discipline and provoked other councillors to cross vote during the mayoral election.After the BJP rebel candidate won the mayor election despite the party having majority of councillors in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), BJP constituted a committee to probe the matter. A senior BJP party leader said, “The committee has submitted its report and action will be taken against four councillors”.According to the party sources, total 18 councillors cross-voted against the party. However, action would be taken against four councillors who had a major role.Sources said, action would be taken before the visit of Amit Shah so that the matter is not raised in front of the party president..
