Jaisalmer’s Desert Festival draws large crowds

JAISALMER: In the ongoing Desert Festival here, a record was made on Sunday when 5,000 people tied turbans in 15 minutes at the Shaheed Poonam Singh Stadium. Turban tying competition was also held in which Chagu Khan won the first prize. Decorated camels enthralled the audience and nine participants took part.A polo match was also organized between Camel Polo Association of India and Royal Desert Safari teams.
