Woman abducted raped in Jhalawar accused on the run

Kota: A 30-year-old married woman of a village under Khanpur police station of Jhalawar district was allegedly abducted, held captive at various places in Jhalawar and Gujarat, and was repeatedly raped by a youth from her neighboring village. The accused has been absconding and efforts are underway to nab him. The accused left the woman and her son at her village Paganiya on Sunday noon, following which she narrated her plight to her husband who took her to the police station and lodged a case, the policeman said. The woman was acquainted with the neighbour. The woman freed herself and reached Khanpur police station Sunday evening and lodged a police complaint.“The married woman approached the police station and lodged a case of abduction and rape against Shanti Lal Mehar, a youth of village Bandi under Bhawanimandi police station,” said sub-inspector Surendra Singh of Khanpur police station..
