JMC grapples with stray cattle menace amid staff crunch

The animal management wing officials are also jittery to continue with the drive after being attacked and manhandled by cattle owners and the public.“It is becoming difficult to deal with the crowd in the absence of police protection. We have requested the JMC commissioner to deploy a unit of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) during the drive,” a JMC official source said.“On March 19, in Gurjar Colony near Jaipuria Hospital, when our team seized around 16 cattle, the workers and officials were held hostage.
