Schools start electoral literacy programme for students

District administration has tried to include almost all the officials in various departments for the voters’ awareness program. JAIPUR: District administration Ajmer is targeting educational institutes and teachers for the voters’ awareness program in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Ajmer district collector, Vishwa Mohan Sharma said, “We want to involve youngsters for voters’ awareness program. To involve the young students in the election process, district administration has started ‘District Committee on Electoral Literacy’ under which students from classes 9 to 12 will be made aware of the importance of voting.These young students will be taught to motivate their elders and people around them to vote and participate in the elections. For this, 20 minutes will be dedicated every day in schools..
