Sawai Man Singh medical college principal and controller Dr Sudhir Bhandari got the first shot of vaccine in Jaipur.

Prominent doctors and office-bearers of doctors’ associations got Covid-19 vaccine to encourage other healthcare workers to get vaccinated without fear and confusion.

Out of 167 vaccine sites, six sites have been reserved for Covaxin, while the rest of the 161 sites are providing Covishield vaccines.

More than 4.5lakh healthcare workers have registered for getting vaccinated through Co-Win software.

Chief minister Ashok Gehlot during a state-level programme organized for the launching of the vaccine, said, “The people who are getting vaccinated will have to continue following the Covid-19 protocol.”

Gehlot while giving examples of the current situation of Covid-19 in the UK said, “We need to remain alert.

Vaccination drive will likely to continue for one year.

During this period, we need to take precaution after getting vaccines to break the chain of infection,” he said.

Praising the scientists of the country, Gehlot said, “We should feel proud of our scientists who have prepared the vaccine in just eight months by putting in their hard work.
