This incident happened on Sunday.

According to the information, Sukhidevi, an old woman resident of Dungri under Raniwada tehsil of Jalore district was going from one district to another with her five-year-old granddaughter.

This distance was about 15 kilometres.

They both were thirsty but even after walking about 8-10 kilometres in the heat of more than 40 degree Celsius, both of them did not get water.

According to media reports, both the maternal grandmother and the girl were going on a path which was a sandy unpaved road.

There was no arrangement for drinking water.
