HC: Book 314 persons for availing pension illegally

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has directed the Dholpur district superintendent of police to file FIR against 314 persons who had availed old age pension illegally in connivance with the officials.The single bench of Justice Bhanwarilal Sharma issued the order on Tuesday. The court directed the police to inform the court if the case comes under the purview of the Anti-Corruption Act and name the officials involved in the irregularity. The court had summoned the SP in the court on Tuesday in connection with the case. The case has been posted for next hearing on February 15. The court asked why no officials were chargesheeted till now in the case.The police informed the court that it had constituted a committee under additional superintendent of police and investigation is on.Government counsel Rajendra Singh Radhav said the case pertains to the irregularity committed by a clerk named Sonu working on contract basis with the panchayati raj department at Niyalgang manipulated the data of old age pension beneficiaries.According to the case, he had stolen the password of the BDO and tehsildar of the area and added the names of 314 persons for the old-age benefits disbursed by the social justice and empowerment department..
