The letter says that the state has constituted district child protection units, headed by district child protection officers (DCPO), so the person concerned must contact the DCPOs to inform them about such children. The Commission has told the officials to send the information regarding the same to them and contact the district child protection units or use child helpline number 1098. As a result, these children are not able to pursue proper education as their parents lack the requisite financial and social investment for ensuring their proper childhood and education.
