The decision has been taken by the Railway Board even without having consulted recognised trade unions. As a last resort, we are also now mulling to stop trains to be heard properly.”Panel shares RCF success storyThe committee members shared the success story of the RCF, which they said, manufactured 36,222 coaches with 90 variants, accomplishing 50 pc requirement of the Indian Railways, besides producing coaches for export purposes. “We have to produce 1,600 coaches this year with lesser manpower of 6,904 employees against the sanctioned manpower of 7,560 Group C&D employees. Any wrong and hasty decision can have drastic effect on the functioning of the RCF,” they warned..
