Extending complete support to the nationwide strike, the OPD services remained affected across medical establishments and only emergency services were operational. Doctors gathered at the local Civil Hospital from 8 am where a dharna was held till 2 pm. A separate meeting of around 300 doctors of the IMA was also held at the IMA House in Jalandhar. The strike began from 6 am onwards today and it will be continued till 6 am on Thursday during which the OPD services across government and private medical establishments will remain suspended.
