791 youth get jobs under ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’

Our CorrespondentPhillaur, September 14As many as 791 unemployed youth were selected for jobs during a job fair, held under the state government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme, here today. The fair was inaugurated by Lok Sabha MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulwant Singh at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys). During the fair, organised by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, 1,318 candidates applied for jobs. The district administration was already on the task of roping in key industrial units and leading entrepreneurs to provide jobs to the youth. The ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ scheme of the Captain Amarinder-led state government was all set to transform the destiny of the youth in the state by providing job opportunities to them..
