Stationery distributed among flood-hit students

Our CorrespondentJalandhar, September 19As students from flood-affected areas of Jalandhar have started attending their schools, a city-based NGO is trying to help those students who lost their books and other study material during the floods. Launching their initiative, ‘Mission Education’, all members of the NGO, ‘Fly Zindagi Ki Udaan Trust’, today visited schools affected by floods, including Government Middle School, Mundi Chohliyan, Government Primary School, Mundi Chohliyan, Government High School, Mundi Kasu, Government Primary School, Mundi Kasu, Government Middle School, Mehirajwala, Government Primary School, Mehirajwala, and Government High School, Nawan Pind Khalewal. The members distributed items such as pen, pencils, pencil box, lunch box, water bottles, notebooks, registers and school bags among the students. Besides, sanitary pads were also distributed among schoolgirls. Travelling through villages in Lohian, the initiative taken by the NGO got a good response from elderly, professionals and students..
