Banks sanction Rs 24-cr loans

Addressing Customer Outreach Initiative Programme organised at Nawanshahar on Friday by Punjab and Sind Bank, the minister said that such programmes were being organised in 400 districts throughout the country. He said loans worth around Rs 24 crore were sanctioned in the two-day customer outreach initiative. The second phase of this nationwide programme began on October 21. Som Parkash further said the Union Finance Ministry had started this nationwide programme aimed to make aware the general public about bank loans and be careful and vigilant to avoid financial frauds.
