SPORTS ROUND UPKerala emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 over Gujarat in the first match of the 22nd Senior National Women’s Football Championship presently being held at DAV College. Head of the physical education department Dr Manu Sood thanked the Punjab State Football Association for giving the institute the chance to organise the championship and said he would not leave any stone unturned to make the event successful. DAV College, Jalandhar, will organise nine matches of the championship which will be held till May 24. Principal of DAV College SK Arora said the institute was proud to organise the championship.
