Lakhbir Singh, president, PAHAL said, “The PAHAL has reached around 10,000 farmers and allied population in 400 villages of three districts of the Doaba region for irrigation water conservation. In addition to water conservation, the special feature of the programme was the observation of the 36th foundation day of the NABARD. Dr Suman said, “Today water conservation is important for us as it will be a source of life for the coming generation’s survival.” He suggested some water saving techniques, including percolation tanks, borewell recharge, drip irrigation and laser levelling..
