Haseeb Drabu, former Jammu and Kashmir finance minister, quits PDP

Days after high-voltage political drama over Jammu and Kashmir Assembly dissolution, former finance minister Haseeb Drabu resigned from the Mehbooba Mufti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday. Apart from his contribution to the arena of politics, Drabu is a well known economist and also served as chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank. Taking to Twitter, Drabu announced his resignation along with a copy of his letter to PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti. Drabu also took a stroll down his political days with PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, remembering how the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir sought him out and brought him into politics.
