Jammu and Kashmir: Navratri festival will be celebrated with simplicity in Katra during the Corona period

Amid Coronavirus outbreak, this time the Navratri Festival will be celebrated in Dharmanagri Katra with simplicity.

There will be only Durga Pujan in Katra and tableau of the three Pindis in the form of Mother Vaishno Devi.

There will be no international riots, offering competition, comedy satire, Srimad Bhagwat Katha and cultural programs.

This decision was taken in a meeting held at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board office headed by Mandalayukta Sanjeev Verma on Tuesday. 

It was decided in the meeting that as before, lights would be installed at every square-intersection and main gate of the town for nine days.

Dharmanagri will be decorated like a bride.

Tableaux will be taken out of the main market by offering prayers to the pindis.
