Now, pay 1000 fine for using plastic carry bags

Likewise, restaurants and hotel owners previously had to pay a fine of Rs 1,000 but now the fine amount has been hiked to Rs 5,000.In the case of wholesale dealers of polythene carry bags, the penalty of Rs 10,000 has been increased to Rs 1 lakh. JAMSHEDPUR: The district administration of the Steel City announced to increase the penalty amount for the use of polythene carry bags from Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 after it realised traders are puncturing the goal to make the city plastic-free.
