IT raids at former UP minister’s assets

In Alwar and Kota, the ongoing raids are at edible oil factories while at an office in Jodhpur. JAIPUR: Uttar Pradesh Income Tax department is presently conducting raids at various properties allegedly owned by former minister and Samajwadi Party leader Shiv Kumar Rathore in Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, Delhi and three locations in Rajasthan . Rathore was a minister in the government during Akhilesh Yadav’s tenure as the chief minister of UP.According to sources, the income tax department had suspicion on Rathore’s properties for quite some time and started simultaneous raids in multiple locations.In Rajasthan, the raids were conducted in Alwar, Kota and Jodhpur. While in the former two, they are at oil factories, in the latter they are at a road construction office allegedly owned by Rathore.An officer said, the raids have been initiated from UP and we are just giving manpower and required support to them here..
