KANPUR: BJP MLA from Bhognipur in Kanpur Dehat, Vinod Katiyar , received extortion threat of Rs 10 lakh on his WhatsApp number from an international phone number on Tuesday. "At around 1.30 pm on Tuesday, the MLA had received nearly six messages wherein the sender demanded a ranson of Rs 10 lakh," said SHO Bhognipur Kotwali Devendra Singh , who is heading the investigation.
