Cases lodged against seven cattle owners

KANPUR: In a bid to prevent farmers from hoarding stray cattle in schools and avoid road mishap involving stray cattle, the district administration of Mahoba has registered cases against seven cattle owners on Saturday. "We have booked cases against seven cattle owners at Kotwali police station today," said executive officer Mahoba Nagar Palika LC Saroj.This is the first time that the civic body has lodged a complaint with the police against cattle owners while implementing the drive, Saroj added.The Mahoba Nagar Palika started a drive to check cattle menace from Saturday.The drive led to panic among cattle owners, who on learning that their cattle have been seized , tried to create pressure on officials for their immediate release.
