Bithoor to come on rail network soon

Kanpur: If everything goes well, the historicl Bithoor town, situated in the industrial city, will once again come on the rail network. It was after 13 years, that a train arrived at Brahmvart railway station in Bithoor. A railway line will soon connect Mandhana with Brahmvart in Bithoor. After this, a new railway line project between Kanpur Central and Farrukhabad was sanctioned but Bithoor was left out. AK Jain, commissioner, railway safety, along with other senior railway officials, including Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Izzat Nagar division, DK Singh, reached Mandhana railway station and from where they went to Brahmvart railway station in Bithoor in a special train on Tuesday for conducting the inspection.It may be mentioned that 119-year-old Bithoor railway line was closed on November 15, 2005 as it was reportedly incurring losses..
