After this, a new railway line project between Kanpur Central and Farrukhabad was sanctioned but Bithoor was left out. AK Jain, commissioner, railway safety, along with other senior railway officials, including Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Izzat Nagar division, DK Singh, reached Mandhana railway station and from where they went to Brahmvart railway station in Bithoor in a special train on Tuesday for conducting the inspection.It may be mentioned that 119-year-old Bithoor railway line was closed on November 15, 2005 as it was reportedly incurring losses..
