KANPUR: In a suspected suicide pact, a 23-year-old youth and a 18-year-old girl ended life by hanging themselves from a tree in Tikkanpurwa village in Bithoor police area of the district. The incident came to light on Thursday morning after the locals spotted the bodies and alerted the police control room.The deceased have been identified as Pramod Maurya and Komal Maurya , residents of Tikkanpurwa Barhat Bangar village. SHO, Bithoor Sudhir Kumar, said Pramod worked as a supervisor in a private firm in the city. According to the police the couple was in a relationship for the last couple of years but the boy's family was against it. Later, they were informed about the couple's death after some people spotted the bodies on Thursday morning.The boys family suspected a foul play and created ruckus demanding the police to get the site examined by forensic experts before shifting the bodies for postmortem examination..
