Thulasi Kakkatmore-inPrivate bus operators and employees in the city took their protest against the pathetic condition of the road at Vyttila Junction to the same road on Wednesday. Apart from the maintenance of the road, private bus operators also demand elevation of the service road at the same level as the highway. The traffic block being experienced at the Vyttila Junction is caused by huge potholes formed on the road, say bus operators. The protest was mainly targeted at what they alleged as potholed road on both sides of the busy Vyttila Junction for almost 200 metres. Organised by the Ernakulam District Private Bus Operators’ Association, they staged a protest march from Vyttila Mobility Hub to the Vyttila Junction at 10.30 a.m.
and followed it by a dharna along the sidelines without disrupting traffic for a couple of hours..
