‘CPM is not conducting a Ramayana reading’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan , on Wednesday, termed media reports that the CPM would observe Ramayana month in Karkidakam as baseless. Poet K Satchidanandan who criticized the CPM’s plan to observe Ramayana month in a Facebook post, withdrew it later following the clarification provided by Balakrishnan. A state-level event to understand the literature of Ramayana will be organized in Thiruvananthapuram on July 25.“RSS has been misusing Ramayana month for communal agenda.
