Kerala floods: Kochi Metro services resumed for rescue operations

KOCHI: Even though Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) had suspended metro services till 4pm on Thursday, the metro agency decided to resume the services as part of rescue operations carried out in the city. The metro agency clarified that they have set up a temporary operations control centre (OCC) at Muttom metro station The metro agency said they are closely monitoring the flood situation at Muttom. "The services were resumed by 4pm and will be focusing on rescue operations. However, the frequency of the services will be less, and trains will move at a very slow speed of 25km/ hour.
