Kerala floods: Operation Navajeevan launched to provide medical aid to people in relief camps

A special medical team formed in each area to ensure round-the-clock service to the people living in various relief camps. KOZHIKODE: Operation Navajeevan launched in the district to provide medical aid to people living in the various relief camps in the district.Kozhikode district Health department launched the mission with the active support of National Health Mission, Active Network Group of Emergency Lifesavers (ANGELS), Kerala Private Hospital Association, Indian Medical Association and Non-Government Organisations to ensure medical aid to people in various relief camps.A total of 270 relief camps have been functioning across the district. The team in each area comprises medical officer of the respective primary health centre or community health centre, health inspector and Junior health inspector, doctors of IMA and private hospitals and village officer of the respective areas.
