Kerala's Nedumangadu taluk raises Rs 4 crore for flood relief in 3 hours

Karakulam gram panchayat handed over the highest amount- Rs 50 lakh.Nedumangadu taluk office donated over Rs 42 lakh while Nedumangadu municipality collected Rs 25 lakh. An amount of Rs 2.85 crore was raised from Thiruvananthapuram taluk. He said that they were happy to have contributed in a humble way.The district has so far collected Rs 7 crore for the Chief Minister Disaster Relief Fund. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The fund collection drive held at Nedumangadu taluk as part of rebuilding works raised Rs 4.25 crore in just three hours.The drive was held at the Municipal Town Hall and was led by minister for tourism and devaswom Kadakampally Surendran.
