Sabarimala SC verdict: NSS files review petition, ask Kerala govt to 'protect' religion

KOTTAYAM: The Nair Service Society (NSS) filed a review petition on the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all-ages to enter the hill shrine, said NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair. He had termed the stand of the Government and the Board for not filing a review petition 'unfortunate'. Nair had asked the state Government and the TDB to treat the issue with more care and make an earnest effort to solve it. He further added that the devotees are now forced to do the necessary to protect their faith. He had also expressed dismay in the hurriedness shown by the state government to implement the court's verdict “which is affecting the devotees”..
